Product Description
ESAB FILARC PZ6138SR is an all-positional low-hydrogen (much lower chance of porosity and cracking) rutile cored wire for use with M21, providing very good toughness down to -60 °C after stress relief.
The PZ6138 family of high-quality ESAB MIG wire consists of all positional rutile, low-hydrogen flux-cored wires for applications involving the welding of thick steel components and impact toughness requirements down to –60°C.
PZ6138SR has been widely used in offshore fabrication for decades, and is the go to product when at sea because it offers super high strength, toughness, low temperature resistance, and easy to weld all-positional ability.
PZ6138SR is alloyed with 0.9% Ni and micro-alloyed with TiB (titanium boride).
PZ6138SR is designed for use with Ar/CO2 mixed gas, whereas PZ6138S SR is used with pure CO2 . Types with the suffix SR provide good low temperature toughness after stress relieving.
All types are successfully CTOD tested – the SR has temperature resistance as low as –40°C.
