1.2mm ESAB FILARC PZ6138SR mild steel flux-cored MIG welding wire | 16kg

£300.00 exc VAT

An all-positional rutile cored wire for very thick mild steel applications and used with M21 80/20 shielding gas, due its high strength properties. This wire also provides very good toughness down to -60 °C (perfect for offshore harsh sea conditions) after stress relief.

Filarc E81T1-Ni1M J H4 wire is not only strong but extremely “welder friendly” with a soft, spatter-free arc that always operates in the spray arc mode.

This ESAB wire is the premium equivalent to the also excellent Lincoln Electric Outershield® 81Ni1-H flux-cored gas-shielded MIG wire.

Product Description

ESAB FILARC PZ6138SR is an all-positional low-hydrogen (much lower chance of porosity and cracking) rutile cored wire for use with M21, providing very good toughness down to -60 °C after stress relief.

The PZ6138 family of high-quality ESAB MIG wire consists of all positional rutile, low-hydrogen flux-cored wires for applications involving the welding of thick steel components and impact toughness requirements down to –60°C.

PZ6138SR has been widely used in offshore fabrication for decades, and is the go to product when at sea because it offers super high strength, toughness, low temperature resistance, and easy to weld all-positional ability.

PZ6138SR is alloyed with 0.9% Ni and micro-alloyed with TiB (titanium boride).

PZ6138SR is designed for use with Ar/CO2 mixed gas, whereas PZ6138S SR is used with pure CO2 . Types with the suffix SR provide good low temperature toughness after stress relieving.

All types are successfully CTOD tested – the SR has temperature resistance as low as –40°C.
