Ordering & Payment

1. What payment methods do you accept?
We take Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal and bank transfer. Approved UK businesses can also apply for a 30-day end-of-month credit account.

2. When is my order processed?
Once cleared funds have reached us, in-stock items are packed for next-working-day dispatch. If you pay by bank transfer, please send remittance so we can release stock quickly.


Delivery & Collection

3. What delivery services do you offer?

  • Next-working-day courier for in-stock products (dispatched after payment clears).
  • 3 – 5-day service for non-stock or back-order items. If a lead time exceeds 5 days we will email you, and you may cancel for a full refund if the delay isn’t acceptable.

4. How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is calculated at checkout according to weight, size and destination. Need a firm price before ordering? Give our sales desk a ring and we’ll quote.

5. Do you ship overseas?
Yes—regular exports leave via air-freight, sea-freight or express courier. We can quote on DAP, CPT or EXW terms and handle all export paperwork.

6. Can I click & collect?
Absolutely. Select “Collect in Store” at checkout and we’ll email when your order is ready (usually within 24 hrs). Bring your order confirmation and photo ID.


Returns & Cancellations

7. What is your returns window?
You have 14 calendar days from the day you receive your purchase (or 30 days for web orders) to tell us you’d like to return it, then another 14 days to get it back to our Chesterfield depot. Goods must be unused, in their original packaging and fit for resale.

8. Who pays the return carriage?
Return transport—both to and from our workshop—is the customer’s responsibility. If a manufacturer later confirms a warranty issue, their policy may reimburse your shipping costs.

9. How fast do you refund?
Once we receive and inspect your return we authorise refunds within 10 business days to the original payment method.

10. Are bespoke or made-to-order items refundable?
No. Custom-built or special-order goods (including large-quantity consumables) are non-refundable, and any deposit paid is forfeited if you cancel.


Warranty & Repairs

11. How long is the warranty?

  • New equipment: 12-month manufacturer warranty.
  • Used equipment: 3-month Spectrum workshop warranty.

12. What happens if my machine fails under warranty?
Contact us with the serial number and fault description. You’ll need to box or palletise the unit securely and cover haulage both ways. We’ll liaise with the manufacturer (for new machines) or repair the unit in-house (for used machines).

13. Does the warranty cover accidental damage or wear-and-tear?
No—warranty excludes misuse, consumable wear parts and transport damage caused by insufficient packaging.


Technical Support & Training

14. Do you offer after-sales technical help?
Yes. Our engineers can assist by phone, video call or email. For deeper problems we work closely with leading industry bodies such as TWI.

15. Can you arrange welding training?
Through our partner network we can provide accredited MIG, TIG, MMA and FCAW courses, plus bespoke on-site training for specialist processes.


Hire Services

16. What should I know before hiring equipment?
Hire machines must be returned clean and in the condition supplied; wear parts such as torches or extractor filters are chargeable if damaged or consumed. Lost, destroyed or un-repairable plant is invoiced at full new replacement value.


Trade & Bulk Purchasing

17. Can I set up a trade credit account?
UK businesses can apply for 30-day EOM terms (subject to status). A single account covers counter, phone and online orders.

18. Do you offer contract or volume pricing?
Yes—if you have regular consumption of wire, gas or PPE, call us for a tailored supply agreement or bulk-buy discount.
