This machine is 400amps @ 100% duty. Designed for 6.0mm gouging carbons @ 350amps for long durations, or 8.0mm carbons @ 450amps for short durations (500amps @ 60% = full power for 6 minutes and 4 mins cool down).

The Warrior 500 struggles with 10mm carbons @ 500amps (550amps are recommended for 10mm), and when using a machine at full power it’s just pushing it too hard.

When used for air arc gouging (and when on an extension lead), the Warrior 500 works much better on a 63amp plug and socket.
