We’ve tested these machines extensively, and it actually is the best single-phase welder ever made for the below reasons.

Independent amplitude EN/EP offset is an advanced parameter settings that allows the operator to easily adjust the heat input into the torch / earth. This means you can sharpen a zirconiated white tip tungsten when welding aluminium, and not have to let it ball over. This AC TIG feature alone makes the Rebel 205 a bargain, especially when is can be used for other welding applications. When used on AC aluminium TIG, you won’t get better results on material up to 6mm to 6mm.
