MB36 x 8mtr spool on gun MIG torch for aluminium

Our MB36 spool on gun air cooled MIG torch is the best way to weld long length aluminium ie. truck bodies. With the torch being 8mtrs long it is also ideal to gain access to the top of truck tankers for maintenance repairs etc. This MIG process of welding aluminium is also approx. 10x quicker than AC TIG welding, and still looks decent.

The genius of this spool on gun design is that it can connect to any MIG welder euro adapter, and works off open circuit voltage. The red referecne lead clamps to the work piece as well as the earth lead, which creates a circuit.

The feed speed is controlled from the torch (the spool on gun torch is it’s own wire feeder), and has zero snagging issues.

Note. Always use the next size up contact tip ie. for 1.0mm 4043 wire fit a 1.2mm M8 tip.

Despite not being water cooled and never used on a pulse MIG, the results are exceptional once you get your parameter settings dialed in right.

• 4043 1.0mm MIG wire
• 150 amps
• 18.1 volts
• ESAB Fabricator Feed 304 feed speed dial @ 3.9 m/min (THIS DOESN’T AFFECTED THE SPOOL ON GUN FEED SPEED, BUT DOES ADJUST THE AMPS)
