ESAB Miggytrac B5001 for hire

TO HIRE MIGGYTRAC @ £200 p/week

  • + HIRE LASER LAMP GUIDE @ £50 p/week

The best automated MIG tractor unit in the world. This little battery powered beast is the perfect way to effortlessly MIG root your long steel beams, before filling with submerged arc tractor welds.

I know I would rather send a tractor unit down a 20 metre beam 100x times over, rather than walk down / bend over / awkwardly lean over the beam, and try to weld manually by hand. Just rent a Miggytrac and let the machine automate your work.

A Miggytrac robot is the ultimate solution for so many varied applications, and welding long straight lines with guaranteed flawless results has never been so easy.

Rental kit in stock here at Spectrum Chesterfield.

Optional laser lamp guide attachment available upon request.

    • Front and rear extra strong magnet kit (0457357131)
    • 2x Makita 18V 5amp batteries (BL1850B)
    • 1x Makita double charger (DC18RD)

NOTE. When setting up the roller guides up against an RSJ for example, the front roller guide must be set further in so the tractor crabs into the beam (at a slight angle), forcing it to run straight and not veer off.

NOTE. If you can’t run up against a side wall (when fillet welding), then for butts welds you can tack weld long lengths of narrow steel plate to a beam you’re welding. These would be on each side of the wheels, which will lock the tractor in place for perfect straight runs. So in effect you’re making your own track.
