Arc Gen Weldmaker 400 CC/CV diesel welder generator

• Our Arc Gen 400 CC/CV stock have had the 110V 32amp auxiliary socket transformer upgrade conversion kit fitted for increased kVA output and bigger fuse / trip rating
• This doesn’t come as standard, but our machines will have it included
• Capable of running 9” grinders.
• Capable of welding 5.0mm 7018 electrodes.
• Capable of welding with up to 100mtr cables on earth and electrode +/- leads.
• This machine goes up to 380amps MAX and can weld @ full power for 4 minutes and 6 minutes cool down (before thermal trip cuts the machine out)
• A diesel welder generator should never be used in this way
• Don’t use beyond 300amps
• 6mm air arc gouging carbons require 340amps to burn in smooth (thermal trip will come on after a few minutes and the engine will cut out)
• Air arc gouging tends to require long duration cuts, so the Arc Gen 500amp is needed
• The 500 model can only go up to 450amps (@ 40% duty), and can gouge an 8mm carbons @ 400amps nicely (SHORT DURATIONS ONLY!)
• Attempting 10mm carbons @ 450amps will result in slow underpowered gouging, and eventually machine failure due to full power burn out.
